There are still tables available for the Giddy Up Show. Join us for a model horse show at Festival of the Horse and Drum-- a fun-filled event featuring live horses, rare breeds and a model horse swap meet. The shows will be held at the Kane County Fairgrounds in the Poultry Building and will be open to exhibitors at 7:00 a.m. with judging starting at 8:00 a.m. on both days.

The open NAN-approved show on Saturday, August 16, features classes for Breyer and Stone original finish plastic, resin, custom and performance. The open show entry fee is $40 and includes entry and parking to the Festival of the Horse and Drum event. All show entrants will be entered in a drawing for Lioness, the 2014 Breyer Benefit model. Open judges include Chris Wallbruch (Breyers), Steff Bodamer (Stones), Silke Brokmoeller (Customs & Resins) and Sue Hallwas (Performance).

On Sunday, August 17, the youth have a chance to shine in either Breyer or Stone OF plastic classes, youth performance or youth novice, plus a host of fun classes. The $20 entry fee includes entrance and parking for to the Festival of the Horse and Drum event. All show entrants will be entered in a drawing for Mariah, the 2014 Breyer Youth Benefit model. Youth judges are Molly Benstein (Breyer), Mary Jo Nerly (Stone), Megan Cotte (Novice) and Youth Performance will be finalized shortly.

Horses will be placed from first to sixth place in each class. First and second place equines at Saturday's open show will also receive a NAN card in all qualifying NAMHSA classes. Performance classes will be judged based on NAMHSA guidelines. First and second place winners will also be called back for the division championships. Champion and reserve champions from each division will be eligible for the overall championship. Prizes will be awarded to division and overall champion and reserve winners.
