Does anyone know how to do a kind of orangish palomino in either pastels or acrylics? :uh Thanks ahead for your help! :D

I painted the guy in my avatar in pastels....Basically started with creamy off white tones and slowly worked my way darker. If you'd like I'll figure out the names of the colors... I use w&n pastels

Thanks for the input. Here's my ideal color:
Assuming you have Alphacolors, start out with the lightest yellow ochre, do one or two layers, then the next darker yellow ochre, then the yellow, tone down with the light burnt sienna(looks like terra cotta), then see what you have. If you need it more orange, use the light orange, then tone with the light burnt sienna. If it gets too orange, try to tone with the yellow ochre. If you have other pastels, you can always use raw umber or sepia to tone down too bright colors. I've used these colors in the past, and they work for me. How many layers, depends on you. You have to know when to quit.
