I'm still relatively new here and need a little help. I've tried "resizing" photos to use as my avatar photo but it ends up looking horribly distorted. Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

Paint works for me. All you have to do is go to "image" and then Stretch/Skew. Then you just type in numbers of what percent you want the new photo to be from the original one(I usually start by doing 20).To see if the picture meets the size requirements of 200x200 pixels you go to "image" again and then attributes. If you're using Photoshop, make sure your "Constrain Proportions" box is checked.

For the help on the avatar pic. I'm not a graphics person and now I can do more in paint!
