Wish I could....no cable. I'll have to wait until it comes out on DVD. Is it as good as the first season?

LOVE IT!

Makes me wonder though, why on EARTH Christopher Eccleston only wanted to do one season GAH! The boy could have had it made for the rest of his life!

I LOVE the whole Rose/Dr. relationship. And Mickey, and Rose's Mom is a hyoot! Did you see the Christmas episode? :lol

:hearts

Totally fun fun fun!

Hi
so havent you guys seen the last episode of season 2 yet???? if you havent your in for a treat.
I didnt watch season one, thought it was gonna be rubbish (Im a fan of the OLD OLD Dr Who's!) but it was massively hyped over here, and when I started watching season 2 I could see why. Its amazing! Im hooked.
But the last 2 episodes are just fantastic.
We have a new series starting soon, Tourchwood - a spin of written by the same guy, which is sounding like its going to be fab.

Ooooh! Can't wait!

Yeah, I was going to avoid it cause I thought that it wouldn't be the same as the original series, but I stopped thinking that after I saw the first episode of season 1 Christopher Eccleston was an EXCELLENT first Dr. of the new season, and the writing had me in stiches and lusting for more! This new Dr for this season :adore too! Hope he stickes around a long time :woot

I notice that the second season is going to be released in DVD in Jan.

The last one was AWESOME with the bringing back of a few old friends :D THAT rocked! And BOTH of them look VERY well! Having aged beautifully! :hearts

I'm just thrilled to have Dr. Who to look forward to again!!! I used to watch the Tom Baker episodes on Public TV back in the late 70's/early '80's, and only own a few videos. Kind of lost touch with the Colin Baker era (because that's when PBS stopped showing them), I've no clue how many Doctors there's been since then, LOL! It's like "Oh well, okay, so THAT's the Doctor now".

Funny how he gets "younger" the older he gets...or else he's more reckless as kills himself off sooner, ha! Considering his first three incarnations were rather...mature gentlemen (NOT counting Peter Cushing, he doesn't count in my book)

I loved last Friday's episode, I was sniffling and getting all goosey. I love K-9, and it was great to see him again! Sarah aged quite well, not quite as rusty as the robot, ("Shooting dog-thing", lol)

I need to add Season "1" to my Netflix Queue...I know I missed a couple of episodes this summer.

Sue, who does own a 10-foot long scarf, lovingly knitted by her mother, also a Dr. Who fanatic

It is a pretty good series but I quit watching it when they changed Doctors on me. I miss the old one.

They change Doctors every few years though. Since the show started. :lol

Eccleston (HAWWWT!) had a commitment to another series or something, so that's why he left. :( I was gutted but then this new guy grabbed me the same way.

Lisa- the US is a season behind the UK because SciFi channel had to pick up the rights to air it and they did it later in the last series than we'd like. ;) Last week was the creepy school episode, so there's a ways to go.

I'm looking forward to Torchwood too though I'm SO glad they aren't using the Torchwood from the end of series 2 (you guys will see what I mean later in the season)

Oh - just a small bit of trivia for you - Tom Bakers scarf was knitted by someone my husband went to school with ! my hubby likes to tell me that EVERYTIME we see Tom Baker on tv! lol

Even though I didn't get to watch the original Doctor Who (I hadn't found my taste for Sci-Fi stuff then), I really enjoyed this last episode. My brother watched the original show, but hasn't been watching the new show, and I was telling him about them bringing the two characters back.. I really thought the way they entertwined the storylines/characters between the two shows was very well done, and his reaction to Mary Jane and the 'girl talk' between her and Rose with him walking in on them was superb!! I'm looking forward to MORE!!!

LOVE Dr. Who :D.. and David Tennant. . have been a big fan of him way before he became the Doctor.. utter gorgeousness!

I was reading an interview yesterday with Billie Piper who was discussing her work on DW.. she said something about Chris Eccleston leaving the show because of "personal reasons she's not privy to" and something about his father not being well.. :S

I can't wait for Torchwood to start.. :D As Lisa said, it's a spin off aimed more at 'adults' than kiddies and it focuses on Cptn Jack Harkness from series 1..

Random factoid - The film reels for the the new Dr Who (season 1) were labelled 'Torchwood' so no-one would be tempted to steal them and leak them in transit before it was aired for the first time.. Torchwood is an anagram of 'Doctor Who' :D

OMG. Just saw my first episode of the new season (something about a werewolf and Queen Victoria...) but I just HAVE to say - the new Doctor is :adore. In loving it. Though I don't think my fiancee appreciated the puddle of drool. :lol
