Wow, what a great show day yesterday at Inviting Events in Lilburn, Ga. Polly Cleveland did a wonderful job of hosting & running Peach State Live. Unfortunately, Peter couldn't make the show; however, he did send along a very helpful replacement (I'm sorry if names escape me - I've got a cold medicine hangover). Some of the proceeds from the raffle went to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a good feeling to see all of the showers (including their husbands) wearing pink ribbons to support fellow hobbiest Lorri Savage. :adore Lorri showed up to give a hand with announcing. She did a great job & lasted the whole show!!

My friend, Jennifer drove to my place from North GA. This was her last show for a while - she is pregnant with her first child. I was so pleased to see her walk away with a gold ASB trophy! I think it was a good way to end things with a bang! As for me, I think that my show string was the thinnest ever. But I was fortunate enough to bring home a reserve champ rosette with my weanling, Baby Phat. And I am proud to say that those horses of mine that were 'wearing' Jennifer Buxton's tack placed first or second :clap

It was nice to catch up with fellow blabber Tracy Helling (Horse Chick). And I think that we both did a fine job of recruiting future blabbers!! It was so great catching up with everyone. And I think I've found other hobbiest to attend shows with! And thanks to Tracy & Shannon Fennel, for educating me on the SR Stones out there. Wow, I felt like my head was going to explode with all of that information! I am trying SO hard to resist collecting Stones now! I will continue only to collect the Stones that Ed Gonzales did, but that's IT! :wink

The show ran smoothly & we were out of there by 4:30! I got home & realized that I am coming down with something - ick :sigh So today, I'm filling up on Dayquil & throat lozenges in hopes that my Turkey Day won't be ruined :rolleyes

Jaimie, you should have saw my face when that Wind Dancer of mine that you were admiring took OF Halter Reserve Champion:woohoo I got one of those silver Pebbles ASB trophys :woohoo:woohoo:woohoo I took home six NAN cards in all. One of them will be sending one of my TWHs into retirement as he has now earned his NAN Merit award. It is the dark bay WCHE SR. I named him Power Play and he is my winningest model :thumbsup

The Blue Wings were really nice. I brought home three. Two as pick-ups and one to trade for that TJ Maxx SM Set. The mold is actually quite nice.

It was a great show. I had a blast. It's a good thing that Valerie was across from me reminding me of my classes or I would have missed more then one. I was too busy gabbing:lol

Lorri was a real trooper and was wonderful as announcer. We raised almost $200 for that raffle and the Cancer fund. The Stones sent her a pearl white Drafter Chips as a Healing Horse.Polly did and excellent job running the show. I hope she will do it again next year. Doug Gailbreath (sp?) was an excellent replacement for Peter. I discover that he is Wendy Gailbreath's husband :lol He told me that there are more Chips in the works. Such as a walking mule, a fresian and others that escape me. Stone will also be retooling the ISH and the Arab molds because of the loss of detail.

Jaimie and Jenn both have resin collections that are to die for. That Matriarch (sp?) resin that is your avatar is not done justice by that photo. Ed did a beauutiful job on her.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. :hugg
