Due to the amount of photos continually found that have been Hot Linked, it's time for a reminder that this is strictly against the rules.

From the FAQ (http://www.modelhorseblab.com/forums/faq.php?faq=18#faq_26):

Posting Photos - No "Hot Linking"
If you're posting a photo in a message, don't "hot link" to some unsuspecting person's site. Every time a user views that thread there is a hit to the photo owner's site, using up their bandwidth. Many sites are limited in the number of hits allowed in a given timeframe, and many have fees to the owner partly based on the number of hits in a given timeframe. A better alternative is to post a link to the page the photo is on and explain where to find the photo on the page.

Hot Linking to a photo is when you use the address of the person's website the photo is hosted on to put the photo in the post. Doing so is stealing that person's bandwidth - likely from a person who has paid a web hosting company to host their site. This is not only bad Netiquette, it's stealing. This is forbidden on Blab.

If hot linked photos are found, your post will be edited and the hot linked photo removed.

Saving someone else's photo to your own computer and uploading it to your own webspace/webshots/photobucket account or to the Blab Gallery is also stealing - a violation of copyright laws. Please refrain from doing this as well.

The only solution to this problem is to simply copy the link to the photo you want to post, and paste the link to the photo you want to share.
