Well, as you may or may not know, I have a chronic pain condition. Everything in painful for me, including simply wearing clothes. Well today I had to stay home from school. Stress exacerbates the pain, and some 'life' happened and my pain shot through the roof. Also, five days of school in a row is extremely hard for me. By Thursday/Friday I am pretty much crippled. I've run out of pain meds until I see a new specialist Thursday so I would'nt have learned anything going to school today, and I would've been miserable. Its better to go to school drugged out of your mind than in this much pain, I know from experience.
Anyway, my mom told my dad I needed a new bad and my dad said... YES! We were shocked, so we are going to buy it today. Its important for me to get around a bit, but I can't handle a full school day with getting bumped in the hall, supposed to be learning, etc. So I have it narrowed down to two I tried, and we'll pick today! The guy when he heard my story of why I was getting a new mattress said he would waive tax and delivery which is super nice. I'm sure he offers it to everyone, but it was nice. My mom doesn't care that my mattress is better than hers, hehe and I'm sure Isaac (my dog) will appreciate a new mattress as well.
And yes, we will bring it to college with me.

Sounds lovely! I just bought one of those memory foam toppers for our bed, it's been divine. Our bed is a super firm, king size, no flip mattress, and it kills me to sleep more than 6 hours on it, with the topper, it is so much more comfy and has a lot more 'give'. Are you going Tempur-pedic?

Nope, tempur-pedic despite what they claim on their website is bad for people with chronic pain conditions says my doctor. Not enough support. I tried one, it was excruciating. I was in so much pain from it. After like, ten minutes.
We got a Serta Gerschwin Perfect Night. Extra high, soooo comfortable. We got $500 dollars off it. :bloom: We have to wait til October 4th though since its rare to sell such a high end mattress in a twin they don't have them available in stock.
And the box spring and everything is embroidered. ITS GORGEOUS! And fabulously comfortable. My mom (who has fibromyalgia) said she was going to switch beds when I leave for school. And if I go to CHOP for the inpatient program she's gonna take a vacation from my dad's snoring and lay in the most comfortable bed on the planet.

It sounds really nice, I am so glad you found something that doesn't hurt you. :hugg I have a Serta...not sure of the exact make, but it's a super soft pillow top, in our basement...My husband and I try to find reasons to go sleep down there, it feels like a giant pillow! :adore
