As far as I know... there is no such thing. Probably one of those CM glossies someone did that got into a non collectors hands.
I think it's just a glossy of this guy:

Unfortunately, the seller thinks it's OF. I did ask her if the finish was original and she said, yes. When I pressed further, she did tell me this:
"This Breyer was given to me by a long time friend who displayed him in her home. She passed him on to me because I have collected Breyers for close to 50 years now. This one has been with my collection for some time now. Sometimes I have to clear out my "pasture" as I add more."
I don't think she's trying to pass it off as something special, otherwise she'd mention the gloss in the description.
I was tempted to bid on it in hopes of getting a "find", but the history leaves it too open to the possiblity of CM. Besides the gloss doesn't look original to me, either. If someone here buys it, I'd love to hear how it looks in person.

Thanks Vicky! I was curious about it too...I've always dreamed about finding something rare and special for cheap on eBay or elsewhere :) I'm not crazy enough about the model to go for this one though....

I asked and got a similar reply:
Dear kelly7874,
Hi. To my knowledge this is how he came. This Breyer was given to me by a close friend who displayed him in her home for a long time. She passed him onto me as I have been collecting Breyers for nearly 50 years. He has been in my collection for quite a while now. Sometimes as I add to my collection I have to let some go. The pasture gets too crowded.

Dear 3253phyllis,
Hi there,
I was just wondering if you (or someone else) added his glossy finish, or if you found him new in box like that.
Thanks!

I think it's just someone selling some items and that's the end of story...I don't smell anything fishy here and he's a nice model for someone's collection.

Just because the story is consistent doesn't mean the original owner didn't gloss the model themselves. It doesn't really look OF to me.

That's true, my point was that I don't think she's trying to pass it off as rare or hard to find or anything like that...nothing in the auction makes it sound like it's being marketed as such.
