Utterly Horses Yorkshire Workshop 2013

Yesterday I went to Utterly Horses' Yorkshire Workshop with a friend to show our models, paint stablemates and have a lot of fun. After a late night of last minute packing we woke up early to pack our models and set off for Kettlesing, just outside of Harrogate in Yorkshire, UK. We arrived to meet Becky, found our show tables and unpacked our models. Then I had a quick wander round the shop to have a look at the models (I actually managed to resist buying any models till lunchtime... ) before the workshop started.
The first thing we did was SM painting. I made some new friends and we all got on really well. I painted a little G2 Shetland pinto (needs finishing) and a G2 Paso Fino to a RMH X Paso Fino (I was pretty pleased with him- he came third in the judging of them! ). Next we did a mini whinnie base making workshop, which I also really enjoyed. They were really fun to make!
After a lunch break and another visit to the UH shop (Successful! I got the new Breyer model Ballou and Wilson, the PS TWH from last year ), it was time for the live show. We did a couple of practice classes and Becky took us through what the judge is looking for in a model.
Then the actual live show started, which was really fun. I was really happy with how it went. My Dick Turpin, who I showed in Western Performance, took reserve supreme champion! I got 12 other ribbons too.
After a fantastic day, it was time to pack up, visit the UH shop for the last time (I got a beaten up Mesteno... It was so cute, and I felt sorry for him ) and go home.
Thank you so much to Becky and the rest of the UH team (if you're reading this!) for bringing a workshop to Yorkshire- It was really great and I hope you do one again in the area!
