* Discussion of Original Finish models
Stickied because questions frequently arise about old mold vs new mold, how the In-Between Mare came to be, etc. Hopefully this post will provide a quick, easy-to-understand guide to the PAM, FAM, and In-Between Mare. :) PAMs, FAMs, and In-Between Mares More Than You Ever Wanted to Know...

So we all know about the black appy, and since there have been variations in the past on the mail-in TH model, what other colors are you hopeful for?
Some pretty horses - seeing that new TB FCM that they are adding to the MSH line-up with paint on it is interesting. If anyone's looking for a OOAK Arabian mare (or one w/lots of sabino, anyhow), Deakin appears to be done with all of the Winter Wind modifications - so she's a mare!
How many of these guys were made spotless? I just saw one on Ebay and am curious. :) And why were they made with no spots? Was it a mistake?
:woohoo:woohoo:woohoo:woohoo So looking back on previous threads of prior years collectors choice options, We started finding out the fall collectors choice model in July, correct? ALSO, does anyone have a picture of the 2008 Show Jumping Warmblood in black overo that did not make it? ...
I have the complete American Girl set with the QH mare and foal. Well, everything but the english saddle (cat stole that!). I can't find any on ebay to find out a value and I'd like to sell mine. Thoughts? I've been a barely-lurking out of the hobby person for the last few years and don't know...
The Carrot Cake thread made me think of my contest horse. I won the glossy gold Western Horse (whatever year that was) and was delighted with him. As the years have gone by, however, I discovered to my horror that whoever painted him at Breyer handled him a lot after the "gold" was put on but...
While going through my collection boxes, I came across one that has some of my dapple grey PAMs. As I unwrapped them, I noticed how different they all are. Here's a picture of five of my girls (couldn't find the other 9 or so dapple greys that I have) showing just how different they all are. ...
One of my holiest of grails has come up on Ebay and I don't have the money to blow on it. It's Mystique, the glossy gray raffle '95 Jumper. Mystique and Jake are two that I must have someday! I guess that day is not today. Waaah!
Charge hit yesterday the 17th, he should be here soon!
I just bought a Breyer keltec salinero off someone and it is signed by Anky underneath, are they all signed by her or is this an unusual one to keep hold of?:uh
The options are up! http://www.breyerhorses.com/news/detail.php?eventid=829 I don't know which one I like...I think Black Ice is my choice although none of them are wow for me.
This girl just came and I was hoping I would be able to tell for sure whether or not she's chalky. Unfortunately, I can't. Here are some pictures--any ideas?
Yes, that Brighty. I would love it if someone could measure how tall Brighty sits from your shelf to the tip of his ears. I'm considering doing something for the Lookalike contest, but need to figure out sizes. Not to mention figure out if I have the talent and patience to pull it off. So,...
I have a signed Laurie Jo Jenson Peter Stone Western pleasure horse in Appaloosa and have just looked into it to find that he's in her gallery of test models and limited editions. I just got him down for a look as I am rearranging my herd, and hadn't thought anything of the signature til now.Does...
I snagged this neat Appaloosa Indian Pony on ebay a few weeks ago, and I have been wondering whether she is just a variation or possibly a test run. Most Appy IPs look like this (http://ponylagoon.t35.com/photopages/i/indianpony174pics.shtml) with just the blanket on the rump. I can't recall ever...
I get most all of my breyers from a place in Huntington Md, called Hatchers Supply. The lady that orders them only has a couple people buying, me and someone else I think, so some horses have been sitting there for, forever it seems! Well since I only buy about 4-5 horses a year business on them...
My creative juices are seriously blocked. I think I am going to splurge and get one from Stone, but I have no idea what to do. Any ideas? I promise I won't steal any... just lookin for ideas, or any pictures of pretty horses... I am a big ISH And weanling fan, but I just have no idea what to...
I was just wondering, since the glossy Alabaster FAS & glossy Bay FAS were in existance for two years (1959 & 1960) with the "old mold" glossy PAMS of the respective colors as well as the glossy Appaloosa & Woodgrain PAMS. Did the ealiest FAS have the breyer stamp on their leg? Was it always part...
It appears I have grown a bit of a conga ... unexpectedly. :uh It all started with the one in the middle. I was searching eBay for a Legionario body and stumbled across him. I fell in love and randomly bought him; when he arrived, I remembered just how much I had loved this mold, and apparently...
I have been working on 3 Esprits but have 4 of them, one is a commission and 2 are just for fun, but has anyone else noticed that some Esprits have different shades around the eyes? Heck each one i have are different from one and the other in dapples! Esprit number 1 that wont be cm, He has nice...
I live in Maryland and I'm in search of Esprit. I'm trying to avoid shipping costs and the place I normaly get from won't have him for weeks and weeks! On Breyer I typed in my zipcode and it came up with Tree Top Toys and Barstons Childs Play. There website dosn't tell me anything so I'm not sure...
Last night I walked pass the shelves with my model horses and noticed three glowing spots there. Two of them I knew were SM Cryptic and SM Merry Widow and who was the third? I was very surprised when I caught this guy: It glows brightly everywhere except the dark parts on legs, head and body....
So what do we call this mold? Is it even one mold at all? In my own collection I group them together, but to someone not totally into the hobby (like many of the people who come to my site) the three really don't look much alike. Would you rather see each variation of head position treated as a...
I'm assuming the PS WS Arab is a re-sculpt of the original Arab by Kitty Cantrell--- is this right? Who did the re-sculpting? Anyone know any details about how and why he came about? Just curious.... Susan
Did everyone see this? Thoughts? http://www.breyerhorses.com/news/detail.php?eventid=827 I'm not a huge draft horse fan but for some odd reason I have always had a soft spot for Roy (it IS Roy, right?)
On her box so far I've only seen it spelled incorrectly as Your instead of Yur, do you think Breyer will ever fix this? I'm tempted to leave her in box because of this mistake for now....
The info below appeared in a Sales forum post, and I thought it would be good to start a separate discussion thread here in the OF Corral. Apparently, these are some Mid-Year models currently scheduled for release in July. We don't even have an official list of all the Spring releases yet...
Well we decided to put horses in the new glass cabinet instead of dragons. Sorry for the mobile pic we still don't have a camera we went and bought a new one but ended up having to take it back because we needed the money for rent.
