    Default iTrader

So I was, uh... *clears throat* visiting another forum tonight and bought some plants from a guy. Suddenly in my inbox I get this message:

iTrader Rating Notification You have received a new Positive rating or comment from tbonedeluxe.

Details about this transaction can be found on your iTrader page.

Note: This is an automated message.
"What the...?" I think to myself and click on "on your iTrader page."

    IT'S A FEEDBACK SYSTEM!

This thing is way cool, it' just like eBay. Since the forum uses vBulletin it's totally compatible.

I've included a screenshot so you can see what I see. I think Blab should definitely invest in this!!! (Can you imagine how much easier it would make the TTB greens?)

I believe this would be the iTrader download page, right here.

Who needs Blab drama when there's Sochi!?

There are ways to prevent that. But they may not be in the original coding. It could easily be coded in though. I used something like this on one of my forums.

You can prevent it by only allowing older members to rate others (which would keep people from making new accounts to just post a negative rating) or only members with high rep already could rate others. You could also code in a once-a-day or once-a-month ability to rate a person. You could even log IP addresses to prevent the same person from rating more than once.

There is also the old 'we delete your account for abuse' thing too. =D

I think the majority of blab is honest enough and has integrity to work out their issues to the end before leaving bad feedback.

I like the idea, but i can't imagine having a bad transaction with a blabber. IHow could you post negatives against non-members?

It looks like a neat idea. I will let the others know about this thread lurking about so they can give feedback if they wish to.

Well, we finally turned off the "neg rep" function for posts. People weren't using them for constructive criticism/debate, but tit-for-tat bickering and even harrassment. The mods got tired of policing them ... they were rarely used for any other reason.

But I think a trading-type app would be used far more responsibly.

I hope you can make it work with Blab, Mary - it looks so much quicker and simpler than trawling Blab. I'd be happy to use it!

I love iTrader! I play the Yugioh Trading Card game and on Pojo (main source for trading cards), we use iTrader as the only rating source. Very handy, easy to use, and as good if not better than ebay's feedback system.

I think is something we'll have to work into the IMCR as well. Might make dealing with people that much easier... Thanks for the ideas!
